Spirit Boards and Talking Boards used for spirit communication

I have been making magical things for quite some time now, although I didn't sell them or even think about selling things when I first started to make them... I did it just for fun one day for a friend and the idea grew into what you see in my shop today..

I took ideas from my art background or ideas I had that would work in a spirit board or pendulum board and just started creating,(although there is a little more to my creation of these items).

In my everyday life I found a need to help people (mostly Friends) in there magical development and or quests, or any problems that occur with that, if you will, and from helping people either through meditation or herbal remedies, cleansings, or giving them a tarot reading ,psychic readings or a rune casting... Through these means of helping people I had the amazing idea to start  making spirit boards, pendulum boards and rune sets for sale to people I do not know so I may help them even a little bit!!

I thought that if I can create a spirit or pendulum board with my style of art and my magical means and energy into it that I can help someone connect with the spirit realm if they did not have the means to it before

I have been psychic most if not all of my life(since the age of about 5 or so)and I can see spirits(of all kinds) and speak to them and feel their emotions and energies.. and I understand not everybody can or sometimes do not want to try and that's where Spirit Boards come in handy and if its handmade by a witch that's even better to me anyway..

My Spirit Boards and pendulum Boards are handmade, hand cut ,hand sanded, hand drawn, and hand wood burned. All of my boards are made from wood either a solid pine wood or sometimes a different type of wood if I either find it or like the wood grain or color.

I take pride in the magical divination Tools I create.. when I start a new board I cut and sand the board then I bless the board to honor the wood that has been used.. I also a psychic blend of herbs and deep well water (herbs: mugwort, star anise, angelica root, and deep Well water) to wash the board before it is drawn on and wood burned and its left to dry for about two days.. then I draw the design I want to use and start to wood burn it..

After the Board has is design I stain the board or put a clear coat on the board.. after the stain and clear coat dries I bless and consecrate the board and remove any excess Negative energies that may have occurred, I also wipe my energies from my board as well, so when you purchase one of my boards its yours to put your energies into it along with the Psychic and Protective energies that are there already..

My Spirit Boards and Pendulum Boards are Not for Play and using a board of this type is NOT a game.. My handmade Boards were designed for people that know how to use a Spirit Board and Pendulum Board Properly or for people that want to learn but do not treat it as a toy

Vicillas Cauldrons Elder Futhark Handmade Runes...An Old World Divination Tool with Old Heathen Inspired Designs

The Elder Futhark.. The History of runes is they were original used as an alphabet, used for divination and for magical works. The word futhark like the word alphabet, is comprised of the first 7 letters in the runic sequence, and the word rune means letter or inscription. Traditionally runes were used as an alphabet to write letters, messages, for to create rune stones(Rune stones are standing stones used as travel markers, god/goddess devotion and for magical rites, The are still scattered through out Scandinavia and England).

Runes were also used to adorn jewelry, weapons, armor, tools, houses, family name(like a family crest) etc. For these items the people believed that carving and creating these runes on things like weapons and houses empowered the wearer and crafter to become closer to the runes and what they represent and the meanings of the runes. Single runes were used, and also bind runes were also used.

Bind runes are several runes put together to make multiple meanings and coincide and empower, for example if the rune gebo(love) and wunjo(Friendship and happiness) are put together the bind rune would mean love with friendship and happiness. bind runes can also be made using the phonic letters like for a family name, and the meanings of the runes would tie into is also.. Traditionally items that were adorned with  runes , how they were made was the crafter or the person using the tool would carve the rune or runes onto the item while concentrating on the rune/s and after they were done they would stain the runes with there own blood, Today that is not the custom and now they are carved or wood burned.

Vicillas Cauldrons handmade runes made from Michigan Ironwood for sale in my etsy shop.. www.vicillascauldron.etsy.com

From Norse Mytholgy, Odin, the Norse High God of the Aesir, hung from the world tree, Yggdrasil, impaled on his own spear, for nine days and nights in order to gain the knowledge of runes. When the runes appeared below him, he reached down and took them up, and the runic knowledge gave him power . He later passed on this knowledge to the goddess Freya. She, in turn, taught him the magic of seidr. Heimdall, the god who guarded the Rainbow Bridge, taught the runes to mankind

Runes for divination can be created on wood or stones, Wood from trees that are empowering is a particular favorite of mine. Trees hold specific meanings and most trees are considered sacred to most cultures around the world. in magical purposes the wood from trees hold power and meaning and energy for example:

Oak has been considered sacred by just about every culture that has encountered the tree, oak can be used in spells for protection, strength, success and stability, and carry its own energy and magic.. and this is why I created this set for oak wood

Willow is a tree for intuition and "sight", balance and harmony, healing, emotion, divination so that is why I chose this wood to create this set of runes

There are many different types of woods with different meanings that you can use for your purposes and different types of wood carry different types of emotion, energy and meaning

I create my runes by selecting a piece of wood I want to use for the meaning and , I only select wood that has fallen from the tree or has been harvested on midsummer and has been left to dry for one for one whole moon cycle or up to one year. I start by carving runes into tiles or cutting them into circler pieces and I sand them until smooth. then I Woodburn the rune symbols onto the wood, when I'm wood burning the runes I concentrate on each rune individually and do the  same for all of them.. so when I'm creating runes I am in a constant meditative state. if I'm doing a design on the back I draw the design directly on the wood and wood burn it.. When I'm finished I meditate with the runes and Bless and Consecrate them for use .. Then they are buffed with oil and a clear coat is added for scratch protection. All of my runes are made with love and care and lots of meditation and energy!!

Reading runes or casting runes takes some skill, one has to be connected to the runes and allow them to tell you through feeling, because each rune has many meanings and feelings this technique works well for me.. it takes some skill.. Meditation also works well to connect with your runes by concentrating and feeling each runes energy help you to connect.

Where my art comes from.. Inspirations from a nature loving eccletic pagan

I'm a self taught artist from rural  Michigan, US.. I've always loved nature and I have been a pagan, psychic, medium ,shaman, spiritual nature loving person for as long as I can remember. To me Nature embodies spirituality, I can look at a tree and see the energy it gives off and connect with it and come up with ideas in my mind for a piece of art that goes along with that energy for example Seeing this image

Inspired me to Paint this! Watercolor on glass

I also love surrealism, usually I take something from nature like a starry night sky and wonder what it looks like from space or if we were could see if we could see the nebulas, with all the different colors, or I love to see the Moon like you can touch it its so close.. I also love taking a real Landscape and turning into a fantasy Scene with pagan influences

Somthing else that inspires me is Mythology and folklore stories especially Norse/Scandinavian folklore and Celtic Mythology and Folklore.. and old Norse Art and Celtic Knot Artwork.. I love things and art that have a great deal of meaning.. I don't like Art that is Painted just to paint for mass reproduction.
